What is the PetPiano?

The PetPiano is an automated pet feeder housed inside of a miniature piano. It’s designed to help stimulate your pet cognitively by positively reinforcing piano playing with treats.

When will I receive my piano?

We hope to have the first round of orders delivered by October 2024, just in time for the holidays.

Can the piano be used with both cats and dogs?

Yes, it can be used with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes. They just need to be food motivated.

Do you ship worldwide?

Orders can only be shipped to the US at the moment. We are currently working on an affordable and effective solution for worldwide shipping of future orders, and hope to have a solution soon!

Who created the PetPiano?

Here's a video that shows who and what inspired the creation of the PetPiano.

Where are you based?

We're based in Los Angeles.

How is it powered?

The piano can be operated using batteries (available separately) or plugged into an electrical source. While batteries can serve as a convenient alternative, we advise relying on them primarily as a backup due to the substantial energy consumption of the motor and Bluetooth connectivity.

Does it need Wi-Fi to operate?

The piano currently operates off of Bluetooth. We're working to eventually integrate WiFi for remote access and updates when you're away from home.

How do I prevent overeating?

The piano comes with a mobile app that allows you to control the number of portions that can be dispensed every day. Once the limit has been reached, the piano will no longer dispense food or play notes.

What if I don't want my pet playing all day?

The piano comes with a mobile app that allows you to control the time of day that the piano can be played. Outside of the designated times, the piano will no longer dispense food or play notes.

What if I have multiple pets?

Although pets generally pick up new skills more quickly in quieter environments, our experience shows that in homes with multiple cats, learning can be a collective effort. Once the initial leaner masters the piano, the others frequently follow suit by observation. This approach has proven effective in both cat and dog shelters, where numerous animals have shared access to the piano, demonstrating its success across a variety of settings.

Is there a warranty?

We very much expect the devices to have a warranty, however the details of this warranty have not yet been worked out.

At this point, if there was a defect or technical problem, we would request that you send the product to us. We would fix it and send it back, or alternatively send you a replacement.
